powered by Sparkasse

For guests who are blind or visually impaired, the inclusive audio description service will be offered for the qualifications on Monday and Tuesday and for the finals from Wednesday to Saturday. Trained speakers will describe the action live. You will receive the audio description at your seat via an audio guide system. The technology is available free of charge on site. You are welcome to bring your own headphones.

How can I purchase tickets?

The service is offered in cooperation with HörMal Audiodeskription. We have a separate ticket contingent available for the audio description. The HörMal audio description team will be happy to take ticket bookings for audio description and answer any questions about the service by phone on 0341-33208860 or by email at veranstaltungen@hoermal-audio.org

What does audio description mean?

An audio description is nothing more than an audio description. It is a service for people with a visual impairment. People who cannot see something are helped by a description of what they can see. A narrator for audio description translates their visual impressions into explanatory language. This service can be particularly helpful for blind and visually impaired people, but also for older or physically impaired people.

What do we do?

We describe what is happening live on site. For example, we describe the gymnasts' movements and costumes/suits, but also explain the basics of each discipline again for anyone who may not be so familiar with gymnastics.

How do the guests hear the descriptions?

The guests receive audio receivers and headphones from us and then receive the audio description live in their seats.
