Free workshops - registration and conditions of participation
To take part in the free workshops at the Turnfest, you need either a Turnfest Day ticket or a Participant Card. Please note that spots for the workshops are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend that you register early to secure a spot.

Please note: You will receive 1.5 learning units (LE) for each workshop at the Gymnastics Academy. We will send you a certificate of attendance on request.

1. Positives Körperbild und Selbstwertgefühl im und durch Sport – mit dem Dove Projekt für mehr Selbstwertgefühl

Im (Leistungs-)Sport ist der Druck für Sportler*innen, bestimmte Körperstandards zu erfüllen, besonders hoch. Dies kann negative Auswirkungen auf das Selbstbewusstsein und die mentale Gesundheit haben. Das Dove Projekt für mehr Selbstwertgefühl und der Deutsche Turner-Bund setzen sich seit 2023 gemeinsam für ein positives Körperbild und gegen Body Shaming im Sport ein. Der Workshop zielt darauf ab, Wissen und Kompetenzen im Bereich Körpergefühl, Körperbilder, Selbstwertgefühl und Body Confidence im Sport zu vermitteln.

3. Yoga für Menschen mit Behinderung

In diesem Workshop wird Einblick in Theorie und Praxis gegeben, wie auch Menschen mit körperlicher Behinderungen (z.B. mit Querschnittlähmung, Halbseitenlähmung, Dysmelie, Spastik, Sehbehinderung, Glasknochen) Yoga praktizieren und teilhaben können.

5. Nachhaltige Beschaffung im Verein

Der Workshop vermittelt die Grundlagen und praktischen Anwendungen für eine nachhaltige Beschaffung im Verein, ein besonderer Schwerpunkt wird auf Textilien (Vereinskleidung, Turnanzüge etc.) gelegt. Es werden die sozialen wie ökologische Missstände entlang globaler Textillieferketten aufgezeigt. Zudem geben wir geben eine erste Orientierung im Dschungel von Siegeln und Standards.

2. Wie Leichte Sprache die Öffentlichkeitsarbeit verbessert

Durch leichtere und verständliche Sprache können mehr Menschen die Informationen auf einer Website oder Flyer verstehen und aktiv am Vereinsleben teilnehmen. Mit einfachen Regeln und Tipps wird in diesem Workshop gezeigt, wie sich Vereine in ihrer Kommunikation allen Menschen und neuen Zielgruppen öffnen können.

4. Stadtrundgang Nachhaltigkeit & Fairer Handel im Sport

Mit leichter Bewegung durch die Einkaufswelt in der Innenstadt: Wo kommen eigentlich die Dinge her, mit denen wir Sport treiben: zum Beispiel Trikots, Bälle, Sportgeräte. Gibt es all das nur mit Wettbewerbsnachteilen für Mensch und Umwelt bei der Herstellung? Wir schauen uns an, worum es dabei geht, welche Alternativen es gibt und wie Fairplay auch beim Einkauf klappen kann - privat und im Verein!

6. Basics of the Aesthetic Group Gymnastics

The sport of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (AGG) is based on stylized, natural total body movement. In this workshop, the finish Aesthetic Group Gymnastic Team, led by Anneli, will show you how to improve your flexibility, body control, swings and jumps and how to use them in team co-operation. The workshop is English instructed.

7. Happy Gymnastics for elderly people
Sunday, June 1st 2025 11:15 - 12:30
Only in english:
In this workshop, the expert of physical education, Prof. Araki from Japan will teach an easy sequence of movements with his cheerful music "Happy Gymnastics", as well as elements from the "Old Boys and Girls" Ensemble. At the end of the workshop, all participants will be able to perform a short choreography with him. This choreography is an ideal and motivating warm-up that the instructors can implement in their training sessions with older people. The workshop is English instructed.

- Free entry to the Leipzig Exhibition Centre: Discover the children's and youth areas, join-in activities, show stages, the badge world and much more.
- Access to all events not requiring a ticket: Enjoy a variety of programme highlights that are accessible to all.
Free use of public transport: On the MDV transport network in fare zone 110 on the selected day.
Please note, however, that the ticket does not entitle you to take part in competitions or ticketed activities. Ideal for visitors who want to experience the festival programme without any obligations!
